How to Measure for Pull Out Shelves / Sliding Shelves

For a Pull Out Shelf that will attach to either the cabinet floor or to an existing shelf, just measure the widest thing that will go through the opening.  If the hinge sticks out a bit, measure from the hinge over.

Cabinet with Protruding Hinges , No Existing Shelf

For a Sliding Shelf that is to be attached to the cabinet floor, measure from the hinge over to the edge of the opening on the other side.  (Measurement "A") Order a Pull Out Shelf that will "Attach to Surface Below".

For a Sliding Shelf that goes above the cabinet floor, and will replace an adjustable shelf, or set on as 1/2-depth shelf, measure the opening from side-to-side, as the neither hinge will be in the way. (Measurement "B")  Order a Pull Out Shelf for a cabinet with "No Existing Shelf" or with an "Existing Half-Depth Shelf".

Measure for European (Frameless) Cabinetry

For a Pull Out Shelf at the bottom of a European cabinet, measure from the protruding hinge(s) as shown in Measurement "A", above.  Order a Pull Out Shelf that will "Attach to Surface Below".

For a Pull Out Shelf that goes above the bottom hinge and below the top hinge, and
there is either No existing shelf, or you plan to remove the existing shelf, measure the cabinet wall-to-wall.  We will provide the necessary spacers at no extra cost.  Order a Pull Out Shelf for a cabinet with "No Existing Shelf".  In the order notes, let us know if this is a one-door cabinet or a cabinet with two doors.  Type "European Cabinet - X Doors"

For a Pull Out Shelf that will install on an existing shelf, measure from open door to open door, and order a Pull Out Shelf that will "Attach to Surface Below".

How to tell if your cabinet is a Framed Cabinet or European (Frameless)

Most cabinets in the USA are the Framed variety.  However, there are some kitchens with European (Frameless) cabinets.

European (Frameless) cabinets have been described as a "Box with a door hinged on the front of the box."  The hinge is attached directly to the cabinet wall.
Framed cabinets have been described as a "Box with a Picture-Frame attached to the front", & the door hinges are attached to the picture frame, NOT the cabinet wall.

If you're still not sure, just open a cabinet door, and snap a picture.  E-mail it to us for help to determine the best way to procede.
