When should I switch to
Full-Extension Glides ? If you have large items, they usually end up at the back of the shelf so you will be able to see the items in front of it. But when you pull out a shelf with 3/4-extension glides, the large items are still at least partially inside the cabinet. (A 3/4-extension glides pulls out 3/4 of its length. For example, a 22" glide pulls out about 16-1/2".) To get the large item, or to put it back, you have to unload those items in front of it, get the large item, then put all the smaller items back. 3/4-Extension glides may be used to attach to the surface below, where there is no existing shelf, or on a half-shelf. |

Advantage of Full-Extension Glides... That's where the full-extension glides come in. Instead of leaving a portion of the shelf still in the cabinet, the full-extension glides allow the Pull Out Shelf to pull all the way out. A 22" Sliding Shelf pulls out the full length, 22". You may get to any item. even the items clear at the back of the shelf, without disturbing any other item. Full-Extension glides may be used to attach to the surface below, where there is no existing shelf, or on a half-shelf. |

Why choose Hidden Glides ? While the Hidden Glides make for a more attractive installation, they also allow your Pull Out Shelves to be from 3/8" to 5/8" wider. Hidden Glides are not available in Full-Extension, so a 22" long Sliding Shelf will pull out about 16-3/8". The lengths of the Hidden Glides can be reduced by 3" increments at no additional cost. Hidden Glides may be used to attach to the surface below, where there is no existing shelf, or on a half-shelf. |
